Newag S.A., together with its subsidiaries, produces and sells railway locomotives and rolling stock in Poland and internationally. It is also involved in the repair and maintenance of machinery and other transport equipment; mechanical processing of metal components; and leasing, rental, repair, and modernization services for railway rolling stock. The company was formerly known as Zaklady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego w Nowym Saczu and changed its name to Newag S.A. in 2005. Newag S.A. was founded in 1876 and is headquartered in Nowy Sacz, Poland.
